Other than Mary and Matthew, Robert and Cora are definitely my favorite ship on Downton Abbey. Their relationship is so interesting and layered - especially considering their history: the marriage of convenience that grows into a marriage of love. They’re so cute and adorable and even though I hated when Robert cheated on her with Jane, the drama of the situation was great. I hope season 3 brings more insight into their relationship, especially with Shirley MacLaine coming on as Cora’s mother. Cora’s such an intriguing character and I don’t think people give her enough credit and simply label her off as ditzy. It does frustrate me how blindly influenced she is by O’brien though. Rant over.
